Lohia birth ann: 10 books to be released

Gulbarga, Mar 22: Ten books will be released from different places in Karnataka tomorrow (Mar 23, 2006) to coincide with the birth anniversary of socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia.

Talking to newspersons here today, Lohia Publication Division Representative B V Chakravarthi said that besides the city, the books would be released in Bijapur, Bellary, Belgaum, Ramdurg, Gadag, Haveri, Udupi, Mysore and Bangalore.

The Division, started in 1990 with the objective of encouraging upcoming writers, had published numerous books, ranging from novels and travelogues to fantasy books. The published books reflected the ideologies of Lohia, who propagated the message of communal harmony and universal brotherhood, he said.
