Kengeri-Ramanagara rly line works completed: Yediyurappa
Bangalore, Mar 22 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today informed the Legislative Council that all the works taken up by the Railway Ministry for doubling the Kengeri-Ramanagara railway line have been completed, except track linking.
Replying to a query from Mr D Madegowda (Congress), he said the Government had taken up the project on a priority basis and completed works like major/minor bridges and ballasting. There was no delay in doubling the Bangalore-Mysore railway line.
Mr Yediyurappa said the State Government had released Rs 10.50 crore of its share for laying the Bangalore-Kengeri and Kengeri-Ramanagara line. The total cost of the project was Rs 87 crore.
Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy had written a letter to the Railway Minister, agreeing to provide the State's share of Rs 230 crore for doubling Ramanagara-Mysore line, and was awaiting a reply, he said.
