J D Institute promotes vegetarianism through beauty contest
Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) It was a fashion show with a difference. The models sure did walk the ramp but what set this fashion show apart from ilk were the costumes. The outfits worn by the modles were natural right out of your backyard kitchen like baby corn, chillies, spring onion and other raw eatbales.
The students of J D Institute of Fashion Technology held a fashion show yesterday where they tried to promote vegeterianism through their outfits. The garmets were made of cherries, tomatoes, yellow pepper, drum sticks, spring onions and the like in a bid to spread awarenss about prevention to cruelty against animals.
The main themes at this fashion show were 'temptations', 'deadly doodhi', eco-friends', 'laikee', 'urban jungle', 'salsa', 'geisha', 'green groves', and a host of other themes.
'Vegevoon', 'Chicdchungan' and 'Slycads' were adjudged the winners at the competition.
