IMFL worth about Rs 4.5 lakh seized; two arrested

Rajkot, Mar 22 (UNI) Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs 4.5 lakh was seized by the State striking force staff of the Ahmedabad prohibition department at Kuvadva road on the outskirts of the city.

Acting on a tip off, the striking force staff intercepted a truck at Sat Hanuman temple near Kuvadva on Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway last night and recovered 1,300 bottles of various brands packed in 108 cases from the vehicle.

The truck driver and another person have been arrested in this connection, police said.

During interrogation, the two revealed that they were carrying the liquor from Daman to deliver it in Porbandar, police added.
