IA to introduce fifth Chennai-Mumbai daily flight from Mar 26

Chennai, Mar 22 (UNI) Indian Airlines Limited today announced introduction of a fifth daily flight between Chennai and Mumbai and reintroduction of Madurai-Mumbai flight via Chennai from March 26, 2006, as summer special.

The new daily flight IC 969 on the Chennai-Mumbai sector would leave Chennai at 0915 hrs, reach Mumbai at 1100 hrs. It provided onward connections from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Goa, Jaipur, Nagpur, Udaipur and Vadodara. On the return direction, IC 970 would leave Mumbai at 1145 hrs and arrive Chennai at 1330 hrs, according to an IA release here.

Flight IC 672 on the Madurai-Mumbai sector would operate via Chennai, leaving Madurai at 1320 hrs and reaching Mumbai at 1640 hrs. This flight provided onward connections from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Nagpur and Vadodara. On the return direction, flight IC 671 would operate via Chennai, leaving Mumbai at 0920 hrs and reaching Madurai at 1240 hrs.

The timing of the daily morning flight IC 587 to Bangalore had been advanced. The flight would leave Chennai at 0615 hrs (instead of 0705 hrs) and reach Bangalore at 0700 hrs. On the return direction, flight IC 588 from Bangalore would leave at 0745 hrs (instead of 0840 hrs) and reach Chennai at 0830 hrs, the release added.
