Father hoping for another gold from Vijay

Hamirpur, Mar 22 (UNI) Commonwealth Games shooting gold medalist Vijay Kumar's father is confident that his son will win a second gold tomorrow in Melbourne.

''I know he will win another medal tomorrow and bring laurels for the country,'' Subedar Banku Ram said.

Vijay had earlier partnered Pemba Tamang to win the 25 meters Rapid Fire Pistol pairs competition.

His native village harsaur has been celebrating his triumph and are looking forward to the individual category of the 25 metres Rapid Fire tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the village panchayat has decided to honour Kumar after he returns from Australia.
