Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, Mar 22 (UNI) Former Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and suspended BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand today reiterated his ''unflinching'' support to expelled party leader Uma Bharti.

''No matter what disciplinary action is initiated against me by the party, but I will stay by the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister,'' said Chinmayanand while talking to UNI over phone here.

Mr Chinmayanand said that he was with Ms Bharti, right from the time she launched Janadesh Yatra from the reverred shrine of Vindhyachal in Mirzapur district.

''I will continue to side with her no matter what was action is taken by BJP leadership against me,'' said Chinmayanand, one of the frontal leaders of the Ram temple movement.

Mr Chinmayanand, however, expressed suprise over why the BJP had taken so long to suspend him.

''If siding with Ms Bharti amounts to indiscipline, I committed the fault long time back... why did the party waited so long to suspend me,'' the former MP from Jaunpur questioned.

Mr Chinmayanand further said that he had received the information of his suspension only from the media.

''I have not recieved any official notice from the party till now and will only respond to my suspension, once I get the written information about it from the party leadership,'' he added.
