EC officials visit Pondy on Mar 27

Pondicherry, Mar 22 (UNI) Election Commission officials will visit the Union Territory of Pondicherry on March 27.

Official sources said here today that Chief Election Commissioner B B Tandon and Commissioners Naveen Chawla and Krishnamurty, would review the poll preparedness during their visit.

They would also hold a meeting with the representatives of different political parties to ensure a fair and free election in the Union Territory.

The assembly poll here would be held in two phases. While the two constituencies in Mahe region and the lone in Yanam would go to poll on May three, elections to the remaining 27 constituencies would be held on May eight, the sources added.
