Contraband ganja woth Rs 2 lakh seized, one arrested

Bhagalpur, Mar 22 (UNI) Police today seized ganja (hemp) valued at Rs 2 lakh and arrested a smuggler at Ujani village under Naogachhia police station in the district.

Deputy Police Superintendent Dinesh kumar said that acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of local police raided the residence of one Salim at Ujani village and recovered two quintals ganja from his possession.

The consignment was despatched from Nepal and destined for metropolitan cities in the country for sell-off, he added.
