BSF and Customs seize Bangaldeshi currency,cell and expectorant
Agartala, Mar 22 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Customs officials raided the house of a smuggler and seized Bangaldeshi currency, Korean mobile phone and cough syrups, used as drugs, from a house near the Bangladesh Border at Lankamura in West Tripura district today.
A senior BSF official said here that acting on a tip off the BSF and the Customs party raided the house of one Chandan Haldar and seized Bangladeshi currency worth Rs 62,800, a sophisticated Korean mobile phone worth Rs 30,000 and 234 bottles of cough syrup, used as drug.
The official said though Chandan Haldar could manage to escape, his wife Shefali had been detained and handed over to the Customs authorities for further leagal action.
