MELBOURNE, Mar 21 (Reuters) Oenone Wood led an Australian clean sweep of the medals in the Commonwealth Games time-trial today.

The Australians, who had already dominated the track cycling competition in Melbourne, took their commanding form onto the road as Wood edged out veteran Kathy Watt into silver.

Wood finished the course along St Kilda's foreshore in 37 minutes 40.87 seconds before Watt, the 1990 Games road race champion, clocked a time of 37:56.07.

Olympic road race champion Sara Carrigan, who looked set for victory before losing ground in the final kilometre, finished third in 38:00.32.
