Reckitt Benckiser to launch three new variants of Dettol
New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) FMCG major Reckitt Benckiser today said it plans to launch three new variants of its Dettol soap in the next 12 months in the country in an attempt to increase its share in the healthcare segment.
''We have six variants of Dettol in our international portfolio whereas in India we just have three. We are in the process of introducing more variants in India,'' Reckitt Benckiser senior vice president Chander M Sethi told reporters.
The three new variants would be sensitive, deo and fresh.
The company holds 18 per cent market share of the Rs 1,500 crore big healthcare segment. Brand Dettol attributes for one third of the company's turnover.
Dettol recently introduced Dettol Cool. The other two variants already in the market are skincare and the original.
Meanwhile, in its bid to incrtease its brand value, Reckitt Benckiser today unveiled its 'Surakshit Parivar'programme.
The programme will be initially launched in six metros and the company has earmarkerd Rs 5 crore for the project.
