Professor to deliver marathon lecture to enter Guinness

Mangalore, Mar 21 (UNI) Determined to enter the Guinness Book of World Records, a professor of the Mangalore University will be delivering a marathon lecture running to 101 hours here from March 26.

Prof Annaiah Ramesh, working with the Department of Applied Botany in the varsity, told reporters here yesterday that he would be delivering the lecture on the theme ''Molecular Logic of Life'' to break the current record set by Mr Narayanan Shivashankar of Andhra Pradesh. Mr Shivashankar had delivered a lecture on ''Fundamentals of Hindi Grammar'' for 72 hours and nine minutes.

The entire event would be documented through video recording and sent to the Guinness Book of World records in the United Kingdom for valuation, he added.
