Police remand of Samuel Thomas extended
Kota, Mar 21 (UNI) Emmanuel Mission International (EMI) chairman Samuel Thomas's police remand has been extended till March 23.
Bishop Samuel had been arrested from Noida for distributing and selling 'Haqeeqat' which makes derogatory references against Hindu deities. Sameul was presented before the chief judicial magistrate amidst tight security.
Two cases have been lodged against Bishop Samuel, one at the Udyog Nagar police station, the other at Bheemganjmandi police station.
Samuel was presented in court yesterday in connection with the complaint lodged at Bheemganjmandi police station.
Meanwhile bail was granted to R S Nair, administrator of EMI on grounds of ill health and old age.
Bishop Thomas would be presented in court again on March 22 after the five-day police remand expires.
