Moderate quake jolts Kashmir valley

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) An earthquake of moderate intensity shook the Kashmir region tonight, the Met office said.

Measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale, the temblor occurred at 2311 hrs. Its epicenter was 34.3 degrees North latitude and 73.9 degrees East longitude, official sources told UNI.

There were no immediate reports of any damage.

The Valley has experienced several aftershocks since the killer October 7 quake last year.
