K'taka Govt to set up House Committee to probe encroachments
Bangalore, Mar 21 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today informed the Legislative Assembly that his Government was ready to set up a House Committee to go into the alleged encroachment of Government land and property in the city.
When Communist Party of India (Marxist) member G V Srirama Reddy raised the issue, he said the House Committee would also be asked to go into other malpractices related to the issue. Stringent action would be initiated against those involved, however highly placed they might be. No one would be spared and impartial action would be taken, he assured.
Earlier, Mr Reddy alleged that some people had encroached upon land belonging to the City Corporation and urged the Government to safeguard Government property.
