K'taka Govt beefs up security after terrorist attack
Bangalore, Mar 21: The Karnataka Government has stepped up security at various places, including the Vidhana Soudha - the State Secretariat, after the terrorist attack on the prestigious Indian Institute of Science here in December last year.
When Mr S Rajendran (Republican Party of India) raised a question in this regard in the Legislative Assembly today, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said he addressed a top-level officials meeting after the attack and reviewed the security aspects of the city.
Accordingly, security had been beefed up in various places, including Public Sector Undertakings, Information Technology companies and multinational firms, he added.
He said police had detained seven people in connection with the attack.
