Kashmir highway reopens for traffic
Srinagar, Mar 21 (UNI) Traffic on the 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway resumed this afternoon after remaining suspended since yesterday morning due to landslides and shooting stones.
All the incoming and outgoing flights operated normally.
The highway, only road linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country was closed for vehicular traffic yesterday due to landslides and shooting stones, official sources said.
About 2,500 vehicles, including trucks loaded with essential commodities were stranded on both sides of the highway.
