Forward Contracts(Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2006 introduced
New Delhi, March 21 (UNI) The Forward Contracts (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2006, seeking to implement the regulations of central government and Forward Markets Commission for regulating the commodity future markets, was introduced in the Lok Sabha today.
The Bill, piloted by Ministrer of State for Agriculture Akhilesh Prasad, also seeks to lay down rules for appointment of chairman of the Commission and other eight members besides formulating their service conditions.
The Bill is also aimed at strengthening the structure and infrastructure of the Commission and for creation of a Fund for the purpose.
