Zee institutes gold medal in Mysore University

Bangalore, Mar 20 (UNI) As part of its commitment to promote excellence in education, private television channel Zee News has instituted a gold medal in Mysore University.

The 'Zee News Gold Medal' would be awarded to a postgraduate student of the Department of Communication and Journalism, who securess highest marks in Television Programme Production Techniques paper, at the varsity's convocation every year, a Zee Network release here said today.

''The group looks forward to a greater interaction with universities and educational institutions across the country in the coming days. We believe that such varsity-industry linkage will be mutually beneficial,'' it said.
