Woman abducted, raped

Shivpuri, MP, Mar 20 (UNI) A married woman was allegedly held captive for about a month and repeatedly raped in this district's Kachhela village, police said today.

Achhelal Lodhi took the woman to his friend's place in Nagra area on the pretext of visiting the town on February 15. The victim was held captive for about a month and sexually assaulted.

The accused returned with the woman to his village on Holi. As her husband came to know about his wife's return, he went and rescued her.

The accused was absconding, police said.
