Vigilance prays for warrant against doctor

Patna, Mar 20 (UNI) The Bihar vigilance bureau today sought an arrest warrant against a doctor, presently in England, in a case related to misappropriation of money while purchasing an Eximer laser machine in Patnas Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Scinces (IGIMS).

A petition was filed before the special vigilance court of Patna by the Vigilance Bureau that Dr Mrinal Anand was accused in the case and his complicity was found during the investigation in the case.

It was also stated in the petition that Dr Anand was currently living in England.

The petition would be heard on March 22.

Meanwhile, IGIMS director Dilip Kumar Yadav, who is the main accused in the case, today filed an anticipatory bail application before the special court which would also be heard on March 22.
