Two terrorists killed in encounter in Poonch

Jammu, Mar 20 (UNI) Two unidentified terrorists were gunned down while one civilian was injured during an encounter with the security forces at the Line of Control fence near Krishna Ghati in Poonch district today.

The official sources said the patrolling team of security forces spotted two terrorists crossing the Line of Control. On being cautioned they started firing and in an ensued gunbattle, the two terrorists were killed on the spot and a civilian was wounded.

He was taken to an army hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.

Security forces recovered two AK-47 rifles, five AK magazine, five chines grenades, Rs 400 Indian currency, Rs 500 Pakistani currency, one sattelite phone and one radio set from the spot.

In another incident, the security forces recovered six kg of explosives wrapped in two sealed plastic bags hidden behind a boulder in nallah. Security forces recovered another cache at Bheri 15 km west of Bhaderwah today, wrapped in polythene bag hidden under boulder which included nine mm pistol, two pistol magazines and five rounds.
