Six naxalites kills in encounter with police

Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Mar 20: Six Maoist ultras were killed in a fierce encounter with police at Ambachar village along the Jharkhand border in the early hours today ( Mar 20, 2006).

The incident took place on the border of Jharkhand's Hazaribagh and Bihar's Gaya districts.

Police recovered four bodies and two others taken away by the extremists. Two other extremists were also injured, but managed to escape, according Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Singh.

Mr Singh told UNI that 10 rifles, two handgrandes and naxalite lierature were recovered from the spot.
