SC notice to COAI on BSNL plea

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) The Supreme Court today issued notice to the Cellular Operators Association of India on a petition filed by the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) challenging the order of the Telecom and Broadcast Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) directing the petitioner to charge 20 paise per minute on calls.

A bench comprising Mr Justice B N Agarwal and Mr Justice A K Mathur issued notices after hearing the counsel for the petitioner who challenged the impugned order on the grounds that it was not tenable and the tribunal has no power to fix the call rates.
