Samples of dead chicken from Surat sent to Bhopal

Surat, Mar 20 (UNI) Amid fears of bird flu, five chickens were found dead in a poultry farm in Anjana area near Salabatpura district in Surat.

District health officials, Dr C A Patel and Dr Wankhar rushed to the spot and collected samples of the dead chicken.

Officials later told UNI that the samples would be sent to Bhopal to check whether the chickens died of suspected bird flu virus or not. The results are exected in another three or four days, they added.
