Police to reward those who will give information about Deepak

Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amitabh Gupta today announced that the police will reward the person who will provide information leading to the arrest of the accused, Deepak Mallik, for allegedly firing at actress-model Sanjana Srivastava recently near her home in Andheri.

Mr Gupta told reporters here that the police had already arrested two persons--Rachit Kapoor (25) and Niraj Saroj Singh (24)-- in connection with this case.

During interrogation they revealed, that Deepak had a quarrel over an earlier financial transacation between them. Deepak, had therefore decided to settle scores with Sanjana by firing at her in Joggers Park at Andheri, which falls in the jurisdiction of Oshiwara Police Station.

Mr Gupta said Sanjana had regained consciousness late last night and the police was only able to record her statement this afternoon.

Mumbai police had gone to Meerut in search of Deepak. However, he was not found there.
