Noida invites bid for malls in 8 sectors

Noida, Mar 20 (UNI) With a view to decongest the existing commercial complexes in the township, the Noida Authority has invited tenders for the allotment of sites for building shopping malls in eight different sectors.

This is being done to ease the clutter at the Sector-18 commercial centre, the main hub in Noida.

The Authority has invited tenders on a 'lease hold' basis in sectors 26, 44, 50, 58, 61, 70, 92 and 125. The plots are to be used for the development of shopping malls, showrooms, retail outlets, restaurants, offices and other commercial uses.

''The Sector-18 market, which is the main commercial centre in Noida, has been getting overcrowded in the absence of other such commercial hubs in the township. The idea is to spread out the commercial development across these new sites to curb the clutter in the existing complexes,'' a Noida Authority official said.
