Imphal, Mar 20 (UNI) The Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) has stated that it awarded capital punishment to a sergeant of the outfit identified as M.Bijen.

The outfit said in a statement issued here that Bijen was supposed to take permission to retire as he was holding a responsible office, however, allegedly he worked as an informer.

Meanwhile, the Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) paid revolutionary salute to four of its cadres killed by security personnel in an encounter at Chandel district earlier.

In a separate incident police said a man allegedly kidnapped by militants was rescued by Imphal West Police and the man was being treated at hospital.
