Make efforts to organise horse show every year in Haryana : Hooda

Chandigarh, Mar 20 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said both the State Government and the Equestrian Federation of Haryana would jointly make efforts to make the horse show an annual feature in the state so as to groom promising players in this game.

He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 3-day first Haryana Horse Show held at Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai in Sonepat district last evening.

Mr Hooda asked the federation to have consultations with concerned senior officers of the state government to explore the possibility of organising the horse show every year in the state.

Appreciating the organisers of the horse show, he announced a grant of Rs 2.50 lakh out of his discretionary fund for the federation to promote horse riding in the state. He said that during his school days he himself had been a good horse rider.

Mr Hooda gave away prizes to the winners.
