Maha budget 2006-07 to be presented tommorrow

Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Budget for 2006-07 will be presented in both the Houses of the State Legislature tommorrow.

Finance Minister Jayant Patil will present his seventh consecutive budget in the Legislative Assembly while Minister of State for Finance Dr Sunil Deshmukh will present the budget in the Upper House.

Last year, Patil had presented a Rs 350 crore surplus budget which was for the first time in a decade in the state where the debt is more than Rs one lakh crore.

The budget proposals will be available on the finance department website immediately after it is tabled.
