Journalists protest

Kakinada, Mar 20 (UNI) More than 100 journalists, including electronic media took out a silent rally tying a black ribbon around their mouth from municipal office to collectorate traversing the main throughfares to protest against state minister J C Diwakar Reddy's ourburst at a journalist here today.

The agitators held a +Rasta Roko+ for sometime and presented a memorandum to district collector Mr Praveen Prakash on the issue, condemning the minister's action besides demanding an apology from the minister.

The agitation was led by East Godavari district electronic media association president S Sivanarayan Reddy and secretary K Parthasarathi.

Journalists from every town in East Godavari district participated in the protest rally.
