JKPSC refuses reports about demotion of 49 police officers
Jammu, Mar 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission today refuted media reports about the demotion of 49 superintendents of police serving and retired in the home department, saying it had issued no such directions.
The Commission, in a statement, said the state government had never consulted for the demotion of these police officers. However, it said, it had cleared placement of 52 deputy superintendents of police (DSP) in selection grade, based on the proposal submitted by the home department.
