JK minister terms Pugwash a positive step in right direction

Jammu, Mar 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and Chairman PDF Hakim Mohammad Yasin has declared Pugwash conference a positive step in the right direction to address the vexed Kashmir issue in a democratic way.

Addressing mediapersons here today, he said all participants in the conference were unanimous in saying the dialogue process and holding of such conferences should continue, to work out amicably agreed upon settlement of the issue.

He said, he has stressed in the conference that separatist organizations alongwith other such groups be involved actively in peace process and dialogue. He said participants also expressed hope that the two countries would initiate CBMs and trade activities across the line of control to improve further the prospects of creating peaceful and conducive atmosphere in the state.
