Infotech bags multi-million dollar contract in LA

Hyderabad, Mar 20: Los Angeles Region Imagery Acquisition Consortium (LAR-IAC), comprising 26 state and local government agencies, has selected VARGIS LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Infotech Enterprises in the US, to provide digital aerial imagery data with GIS, web mapping with CAD and engineering design.

Under the contract valued at USD 3.8 million, Infotech will provide digital imagery data and related photogrammetric services for the 4100 sq miles of Los Angeles county. The consortium includes Los Angles county plus 25 cities and public sector organisations.

Infotech will capture data with three Zciss/Intergraph Digital Mapping Cameras systems and LiDAR, advanced digital aerial imagery technology available today, the company said in a release here today.
