India and Pakistan to hold talks on human traficking and fake notes
New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) After a gap of 17 years, India and Pakistan will hold technical level talks for sharing information on tackling human trafficking and fake currency notes.
The two-day meeting will be held at the CBI headquarters between the top officials of the CBI and a visiting delegation of Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) of Pakistan.
The Indian delegation will be led by CBI Director Vijay Shanker and Pakistan delegation by Director General FIA Tariq Parvez.
The meeting will discuss on the appointment of nodal officers in both the countries for quick and timely exchange of information on criminal matters.
The officials would also discuss about the formation of the SAARCPOL (Police Cooperation among SAARC countries) on the pattern of an organisation formed by the European countries.
The issues relating to the immigration and interpol matters and mechanism of their expeditious disposal would also be discussed.
A Home Secretary-level talk would be held between the two countries in August 2005.
