iGATE positioned in 'niche players' Magic Quadrant

Bangalore, Mar 20 (UNI) iGATE Global Solutions, the integrated technology and operations (iTOPS) company, has been positioned in Gartner Inc's Magic Quadrant for Offshore Application Services, 2006 report.

Gartner had selected 30 leading offshore application services providers, of which ten were Indian IT companies. iGATE had been positioned in the 'niche players' quadrant, according to a company release here today.

iGATE Chief Delivery Officer Mohan Sekhar said ''sustained investments in creating IP and developing high value business solutions in a global delivery platform are making a difference to us in the marketplace. We have also been consistently improving our onsite to offshore effort ratios and as of last quarter, our offshore ratio was at 71 per cent, which is among the best in the industry. Our positioning in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Offshore Application Services reiterates our belief that we are on the right growth track.'' The Magic Quadrant, a graphical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period, depicted Gartner's analysis of how certain vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace.
