High Court grants bail to Jaiprakash Narain Yadav

Patna, Mar 20 (UNI) Patna High Court today granted regular bail to former Union Minister Jai Prakash Narain Yadav in connection with misuse of his official position as union mister to secure unlawful release of his brother from Khaira police station in Jamui district on October 18 last year..

A single bench of Justice Mridula Mishra granted bail to Mr Yadav after hearing arguments of both the petitioner and the prosecution.

Earlier, counsel of the petitioner submitted before the court that Mr Yadav was falsely implicated in the case and he should be granted bail.

The prosecution had accused the former union minister of securing unlawful release of his brother and the RJD candidate from Jamui constituency Vijay Prakash after the latter was arrested with the liquor bottles, firearms and cash during the first phase of the Assembly election on October 18.
