Former UP minister apprehends threat to life
Lucknow, Mar 20 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh agriculture minister and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) national general secretary Munna Singh Chauhan today apprehended threat to his life.
In a letter addressed to Legislative Council Chairperson Sukhram Singh Yadav, Mr Singh demanded action against the guilty.
The minister claimed that Parshuram Dubey, Sunder Dubey, Sadanand Tiwari and Dayanand Pasi had threatened him by brandishing firearms in Faizabad on March 18 during the swearing-in ceremony of block pramukh.
He alleged that the accused had criminal antecedents.
Mr Singh also accused the local police of inaction saying cops neither lodged an FIR nor acted in the matter.
The RLD leader resented there was no provision of security to him, while ''criminals are being provided with police gunners.'' RLD is the major alliance partner in the Samajwadi Party-led UP government.
