Court issues bailable warrant against former South-west DCP

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) A city court today issued a bailable warrant against the former DCP of South-West Delhi for not appearing in the court in a case pertaining to the Arms Act.

Patiala House Court Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Sunil Chowdhury issued a bailable warrant for Rs 5000 against Devender Pathak, returnable on March 28.

Devender, a Prosecution Witness (PW) in one Arms Act case was presently been posted as DCP security, New Delhi. He was summoned thrice by the court earlier but each time he did not turn up.

There were eleven witnesses in this case including Devender. Two accused Dilip Das and Umesh Paswan were arrested by the Delhi police on January 10, for allegedly possessing pistols and other weapons, the court said.
