Chatterjee welcomes Netherlands Speaker

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today said that despite tension in certain areas of the country, cordial relations have been maintained between various sections of society, adding that the people of India have understood that unity and integrity were more important than divisive forces.

He was welcoming the delegation of Parliamentary leaders of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Netherlands, led by Frans W Weisglas, Speaker of the Netherlands House of Representatives, who called on him here today.

In response, Mr Weisglas thanked the Speaker for the warm hospitality extended to the Netherlands delegation and said "It is better to have acquaintance with India, one of the fastest developing and advanced technologic economy in the world." UNI YS PA DB2016
