BPSC chairman files petition against vigilance
Patna, Mar 20 (UNI) Incarcerated Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) chairman Ramshinghashan Singh, members Dr D N Sharma and S B Choudhary today claimed that a vigilance office was threatening them to resign from their respective posts.
By filing a petition before the special vigilance court, the jailed BPSC functionaries said a Deputy SP rank officer of the Vigilance department had threatened them asking them to resign from their posts.
It was stated in the petition that the Vigilance department DSP, who was the investigating officer of the case related to irregularities committed in Bihar Administrative Services (Limited) competitive examination, 2003, visited the jail on March 10 this year and asked them to resign from their posts warning that otherwise a series of cases would be lodged against them.
The petitioners contended that bleaching powder was mixed in their food on March 12 after they refused to resign.
They sought an explanation from the investigating officer and from the jail authorities in this connection. The petition would be heard on March 22.
