4 commit suicide in Kerala

Alappuzha, Kerala, Mar 20 (UNI) Four people, including three members of a family, were found dead at their residence in Mannarshala of the district this morning in a suspected case of suicide pact.

Police said the four allegedly died of poisoning after consuming ice-cream laced with pesticides.

They were identified as Suresh (35), the owner of an STD booth at Mannarshala, his wife Sujatha (30), daughter Shruti (11) and Sarita (20) who was employed at the STD booth.

''Some family matter'' appeared to be the cause for the drastic step, police said.

The bodies were discovered by neighbours this morning. The police have registered a case of suicide.
