Woman murdered by husband

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 19 (UNI) In a cold blooded murder, a 25-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband over a domestic quarrel at Edaiyatrumangalam village at Lalgudi, near here today .

Police said the deceased Banu, who was recently married to a mason Shanmugham (30) used to frequently quarrel with him over the latter's habit of drinking. There was a heated argument between them today over this, as Shunmugham used to spend most of his income on liquor.

An enraged Shunmugham stabbed Banu at seven places on her body.

She died on the spot.

Lalgudi police have registered a case and are searching for the accused.
