TRCC demands BJP stand on Telangana in writing

Hyderabad, Mar 19 (UNI) Telangana Regional Congress Coordination Committee (TRCC) Convenor and Congress MLA Chinna Reddy today welcomed the (BJP) president Rajnath Singh's stand on separate Telangana state and demanded that the position be conveyed in writing to the UPA government.

Talking to newspersons here, Dr Reddy claimed that in the past too BJP had passed a resolution in Kakinada in favour of Telangana state, but later failed to live up to their promise.

''We welcome the BJP stand on Telangana. But we want the party to give it in writing their stand to the Central Government,'' he demanded.

He claimed that in the past, TRCC wrote to BJP leader L K Advani twice about the Telangana issue, but there was no response.
