Suren Dutia appointed new Executive Director at TiE

New York, Mar 19 (UNI) The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) has announced the appointment of Suren Dutia as its new Executive Director to lead the 14-year-old organisation, which has 45 chapters in 10 nations.

''We are delighted to have Suren Dutia at the helm, said Apurv Bagri, chairman of TiE.

''His extensive corporate management expertise and domain knowledge will help institutionalise TiE and help us expand our entrepreneurial ecosystem,'' he added.

Mr Dutia helped found the Southern California chapter of TiE, a not-for-profit network of entrepreneurs and professionals dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship, and was the founding president of TiE, San Diego.

He will be based at TiE's headquarters in Silicon Valley and will report to its trustees' board with responsibility for taking the organisation to new heights.

''I have accepted this role because I am convinced that TiE has the conditions, capacity, talent, and the support of many like-minded people to build a sustainable global institution fostering and facilitating entrepreneurship,'' Mr Dutia said, accepting the appointment.
