Journalists protest against minister's remark
Vijayawada, Mar 19 (UNI) Journalists belonging to the print and electronic media today protested before the sub-collector's office over the remark of Andhra Pradesh Panchayatraj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy against them at Anantapuram.
Andhra pradesh Journalist Union (APJU) city unit President Satish demanded Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy to remove the minister from the cabinet immediately.
When the media persons asked the minister to respond to the allegation of TDP that the murder of a TDP leader was carried out at the behest of the minister's brother, Mr Reddy reportedly used unparliamentary words against the scribes, yesterday.
He also reportedly said that the scribes had no locus standi to pose a question to him.
The media representatives also submitted a memorandum to Higher Education Minister P Venkateswara Rao who was here in connection with a review meeting. The memorandum addressed to Chief Minister urged his intervention in the matter.
