Dubai, Mar 19 (UNI) Chief of India's Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Abdul Haq Ansari is seeking the approval of Qatar Islamic Bank to open its branch in India to provide interest-free loans He said the Jamaat has been campaigning for establishing interest-free banks in India since it considers interest a major economic evil, press reports said.

The Jamaat is already running a network of lending societies in various parts of the country, giving interest-free loans to ordinary people.
