ILSI to launch research activities in July
Hyderabad, Mar 19 (UNI) The International Life Science Institute (ILSI) which will be coming up in the city as part of 'Genome Valley' project will commence its research activities from July this year.
According to sources here, the institute, being set up by the state government with the help of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies at Hyderabad Central University campus, will provide training and research facilities in highly specialised areas of pharmaceutical sciences and drug discovery.
The institute will have state-of-the-art research facilities comprising 32 laboratories in the first phase and conduct research in various disciplines such as genomics, proteomics, medicinal chemistry, molecular and cell biology, molecular modelling, drug design and pharmacology.
The ILSI will also extend collaborative research services to international institutes and provide facilities for doctoral research.
It is patterned on the lines of the International School of Business (ISB) with public-private partnership.
