Gujarat govt to develop tourism facilities in Junagadh

Ahmedabad, Mar 19 (UNI) The Gujarat government will develop infrastructure facilities in tourist and religous places of Junagadh including the Gir sanctuary, Somnath Temple and Girnar temple.

A plan to improve the road connectivity, and provide facilities of transport, vehicle availability for hire and hotels, was drawn up at a meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Sudhir Mankad, along with senior district officials in this connection.

Information centres will be set up and it will also be made available on websites, a government release said today.

Signboards giving tourism-related information will also be put up for the benefit of the tourists, it said.
